This is the last News Letter before IP/SOC 2004 where
we will
have the pleasure to receive you, create closer contacts and know
new members of our IP/SOC community. It will be the right place
to share our views about the
challenges in the IP/SOC field. 1. Welcome to our new partners Welcome to our new partners : 2. Hot corner on Verification IPs We
open this week
a hot
corner on verification IP as we all share our concern
on IP quality. We believe that the IP verification challenge is
still one of the most strategic ones in our field. The contributions
brought by the VIP providers are remarkable and it is our pleasure to
see this hot corner sponsored by HDL Design House As we believe that there is still a lot to be done, there will be a panel at IP/SOC on this topic. You will be invited to know more about recent products and all the benefits that a designer can get out this technology. 3. Information Quality and D&R Preferred Partners In the high tech IP/SOC field one of the challenges is to
get
information not only quickly (time to market being always the
hottest business success criteria) but also to get high quality
information. If D&R is well known to deliver the freshest News in "real time" through IP/SOC News Alert , D&R has also undertaken a long term program for delivering high quality information especially about available IPs. For this purpose, D&R has created a quality label for the provider in terms of D&R Preferred Partners referring to providers who have automated direct information transfer about their IPs from their internal listings or data base. For these providers when searching in D&R catalog by provider, you will find the "Preferred partner" logo. Thus following an implicit IP quotation service, D&R will, starting from now, promote IP providers quotation in terms of quality of the information delivered to the market via D&R . 4. Private catalogs and extranet services "Private catalogs" refer to Hosted Application Services provided by D&R. Such catalogs are hold on dedicated servers and contain IP provider qualified data .They are especially suitable for providers for whom IP information have to be available and updated through automated import into large companies intranet. These private catalogs can be replicated within the intranet and , through embedded extensions, can be used as an IP Reuse and Delivery platform within the intranet. Such catalogs can follow any standard or dedicated usages ranging from intranet collaboration to customer support. As an example D&R will demonstrate how the Spirit packaging and IP interfacing standard proposal can be supported by such an application. Please contact us or visit us at IP/SOC 2004 to know more about our extranet hosted application services 5. IP/SOC 2004 - December 8-9, 2004 - Grenoble, France
