Poseidon Announces Sales Channel Partnership with PROTOtyping to Service Growing Japanese Electronics Market
Motohiko Torimoto, CEO of PROTOtyping Japan Corp. said, "We are very excited to work with Poseidon. Interest in architectural optimization and acceleration for processor-based platforms by Japanese companies is increasing. We are honored to have reached an agreement with Poseidon to be their ESL software and design services representative in Japan, ". Poseidon products will be demonstrated in Japan both at PSS2006 Kobe (May 22nd) & Shibuya (May 24th),and ESEC2006 (Tokyo Big Site) on June 28th-30th ,2006 in Japan.
As ESL-based design analysis, optimization, and acceleration become paramount for complex FPGAs, ASICs, and ASSPs, Poseidon Tuner and Builder tools will enable designers to reduce cost, reduce power dissipation, reduce design cycle and accelerate performance within 5X-100X. This is to support PowerPC 405 and MicroBlaze , ARM, and NIOS processors for analysis and HW/SW partitioning. This is optimized for signal processing applications such as audio, video, VoIP, imaging, wireless, and security.
"Japan is a key center for innovation within the consumer electronics industry, and presents a great market opportunity for Poseidon", said Farzad Zarrinfar, vice president of Worldwide Sales at Poseidon Design Systems. "Our C to RTL, HW/SW partitioning, system level analysis and optimization tools are a perfect fit for compute intensive algorithms. These hold enormous potential for software developers, system designers, architects, and platform designers who target the Time-To-Market sensitive, low power, high performance markets.
