San Jose, California February 8, 2006 - HiTech Global, the premier distributor of HiTech products, today announced the worldwide availability of Altera Stratix-II™ based PCI-X evaluation boards designed by PLD Applications.

The PCIXSYS2 platforms are powered by Altera’s  Stratix-II EP2S60, EP2S90, EP2S130, or EP2S180. The combination of these high performance devices with PLDA’s PCI-X and PCI IP cores makes the PCIXSYS2 platforms ideal for data acquisition, ASIC/FPGA prototyping, automation/control and many other applications.

The PCIXSYS2  boards are bundled with PLDA’s Software Design Kit (SDK) and a full featured version of PLDA’s  PCI-X / PCI IP Core. This IP supports a wide range of configurations, including:

  • PCI-X 133/100 MHz
  • PCI 66/33 MHz
  • PCI-X 133/ PCI 66 MHz
  • PCI-X 100/ PCI 66 MHz
  • PCI-X 100/ PCI 33 MHz
