Motion Computing Licenses Wi-LAN Wireless Technologies
OTTAWA, Canada – April 9, 2008 – Wi-LAN Inc., a leading technology innovation and licensing company, today announced that it has signed a six year licensing agreement with Motion Computing relating to Wi-LAN patents covering CDMA, Wi-Fi, WiMAX and HSPA technologies. The license provides for the payment of a running royalty and includes a payment in respect of past sales. Motion Computing, headquartered in Austin, Texas, produces slate tablet PCs for mobile professionals in industries including healthcare, government, and field force automation.
