SafeNet Demonstrates Interoperability with Leading Device Manufacturers at First OMA DRM V2.0 Test Fest
This important standard is a critical milestone in the adoption of DRM technology as a vehicle to deliver high-value content to consumer electronic devices. The OMA TestFests are designed to have a dual purpose of ensuring the quality of OMA products and of enabling vendors to verify and test the interoperability of their product implementations. This event, held in Helsinki, was the first such event for OMA V2.0 implementations. This standard allows operators and content providers to securely distribute copyrighted material to both mobile handsets as well as to PCs and consumer electronics devices.
SafeNet is strongly committed to offering standards based, future-proof, flexible DRM solutions. SafeNet is a member of Open Mobile Alliance, Mobile Entertainment Forum, and has actively contributed to the OMA DRM V1.0 and V2.0 specifications, as well as made major contribution in defining the OMA DRM interoperability tests.
"This important event validates our customers' choice of our technology as the leading DRM solution available today," said Prakash Panjwani, Vice President and General Manager for SafeNet's Rights Management Business Unit. "We are committed to adopting standards that ensure that our solutions offer the highest level of interoperability."
SafeNet DRM products are fast, flexible and scalable server-side solutions for mobile Digital Rights Management (DRM). These products enable the entire DRM process including content protection, rights management, and license delivery to mobile devices as well as consumer electronics.
